No! Don’t be put off by the name ‘fake grass.’ It’s somewhat misleading, as our synthetic turf products are very realistic, thanks to advanced technology.

Yes! You can find all the types of artificial grass we provide on display at our O’Connor showroom. Samples are also available for you to take away, so you can see how the grass will look in your garden or commercial space.

There’s no doubt WA’s climate can be harsh, which is why our synthetic grass is made of tough stuff. It’s UV stabilised and can more than handle the hot summer sun, making it the ideal choice for locations where grass is unable to grow due to lack of water, poor soil or high temperatures.

The life expectancy of synthetic turf varies depending on the product type and its usage. If you follow our artificial turf maintenance instructions, you should expect to get as much as 10 to 15 years of wear out of artificial grass in low traffic areas.

No worries! Our synthetic turf has excellent drainage capabilities, with over 100 drainage holes per square metre, allowing for the same rate of drainage as natural grass. Rain is an excellent way of keeping your artificial grass clean, but unfortunately can also wash away the infill white sands over time. To counteract this, we recommend topping up the white sands to the right level every 2 to 3 years.

All our products are lead free and safe for kids and pets. Many of our products are manufactured by companies with ISO14001 and/or ISO9001 certification.

You can easily clean up after your pet. Pet waste will not decolour the turf and any staining which occurs can be spot cleaned and urine will go straight through, although we recommend a regular rinse. Household cleaning products can also be used to neutralise any odour as well as ensuring good drainage.

Although artificial turf maintenance is easier to carry out than normal grass, your lawn will need regular care. Rain will clean dust and other pollutants from your lawn. If rainfall is low, a water flush may be needed. When you purchase your product, Turf Direct will provide you with a care manual on how to perform your artificial turf maintenance.

Synthetic turf can be hotter than normal grass, but it cools quickly once shaded and will not retain or reflect heat the same as paving, which takes longer to cool in hot conditions.
